With 800 seats, Theater Winterthur is the largest guest theatre in Switzerland with its own international programme. It presents around 50 different productions per season in the areas of musical theatre (opera, operetta, musical), drama, dance/ballet and children's/youth theatre and also organises other "extras" such as concerts, readings, song recitals, film screenings, etc.
Access to the Theater Winterthur is barrier-free through the main entrance at Theaterstrasse.
On this level are the ticket office, the theatre foyer with bar, the Brasserie Les Coulisses and level M of the theatre hall, which can be reached without climbing stairs, as well as a wheelchair-accessible toilet.
The Theatre Hall is wheelchair accessible, with wheelchair seating available in the 18th row of the Theatre Hall. Tickets must be booked through the box office, 052 267 66 80, theater.kasse@win.ch. The person in the wheelchair as well as their companion each pay 50% of the ticket price in seat category III.
People who rely on a walking aid are also advised to book seats in the back rows of the stalls. Rollators can be parked behind the last row of the stalls or at entrance M. Our staff will be happy to assist you.
Hearing amplification aids for people with and without their own hearing aids can be obtained free of charge from the cloakroom for a deposit.
