A conversation with the sketchbook

In this workshop, Christoph Hefti demonstrates how ideas emerge from sketches. Participants intuitively translate everyday observations into drawings – in search of a missing cat.

In the workshop, Christoph Hefti offers a glimpse into his sketchbook. Using his own work as an example, he explains how ideas follow on from sketches, how these ideas take shape, how they connect with us, what they tell us and how they disappear again… Drawings begin with a single line and take on a life of their own.

Participants are invited to intuitively translate everyday observations into simple drawings – as part of a guided tour of the exhibition in search of a missing cat.

With Christoph Hefti, textile designer
