Album launch for ‘Stereogefühle’
Dressed in colourful shirts, Lele Javel surfs through the ages, gathering whatever he finds on his journey through the decades: his luggage is packed with bubbling arpeggios, wavering guitar vibratos, spring reverb and driving beats. And there’s a new, seductive siren voice: Dayana Stöhr complements Lele’s vocals with a healthy dose of female power on an equal footing. The band now also performs as a six-piece line-up.
The songs go down a treat whilst tackling big themes: whether it’s reflections on social bubbles and criticism of consumerism, or romantic delusion and cosmic love – they’ve got it all. Sometimes enigmatic, sometimes thought-provoking, always laced with a good pinch of irony, the German lyrics tell of the absurdities of everyday life, of navigating the maze of relationships and of one’s own vulnerability.
