daniel schnyder trio
Round the World
The music of this virtuoso trio combines classical music, jazz, Brazilian sounds, Arabic musical influences and folk music to create virtuoso music that plays the musical now in a new way. The suite "Around the World", a work commissioned by the Berliner Philharmoniker and written by composer Daniel Schnyder, is the centrepiece of the evening. The music traces a journey around the world that begins in Berlin, visits Switzerland in the middle and then finally returns to Berlin with a quote from Beethoven's Ninth Symphony.
