Music as a delicate veil that connects the visible and the hidden
TON SUR TON is a translucent tapestry of sound woven from double bass (Christoph Utzinger) and voice, complemented by keyboard sounds and subtle threads of effects. The music of TON SUR TON unfolds like a flowing fabric with a gentle shimmer. Jazz singer Sylvie Klijn, who trained as a classical pianist, forms the duo Ton sur Ton together with double bassist Christoph Utzinger. Their debut album *Camaïeu*, released on Unit Records, reveals a universe in which music is conceived in colours and is shaped by influences ranging from Esperanza Spalding to Radiohead. These are songs shaped by friendship, loss, longing and the passage of time, which leaves its mark. The Steps series is a collaboration between lamarotte and the jazz label Unit Records.
