Three award-winning musicians set out to perform their favourite funk hits from the 1970s – such as those by the legendary pianist Herbie Hancock – using an unusual combination of instruments. With hearts full of sparkle, the musicians perform here on violin, bandoneon and double bass, managing entirely without the usually indispensable drums. They give these timeless pieces a fresh new twist, allowing the essence and charm of the music to shine through all the more clearly.
