Eugénie Rebetez: Comeback

In her new solo piece, the extraordinary dancer and versatile comedian skilfully oscillates between poetry and comedy, sensitivity and rock'n'roll. On the one hand, she creates a lustfully exuberant character; on the other, she constantly returns to herself.

A game of ambivalence begins: she wants everything, but cannot bear the abundance; she holds on to her values and suddenly lets them go; she longs for the light-heartedness of her youth, but takes on more and more responsibility. It is a game of searching and trying to move forward.

For this new piece, Eugénie Rebetez composes a score of sung and danced stories drawn from her own life. Comeback is a brilliant one-woman show that hits both quiet and shrill notes and is dedicated to the hope that lies in every return with a sharp, witty look.
