On the Crime Tram with the city’s patron saints – and Miriam Veya
Zurich, 1920: The city’s patron saints, Felix, Regula and Exuperantius, have risen from their tomb beneath the Grossmünster and are strolling through the suburb of Albisrieden with their heads tucked under their arms. Clearly a case for private detective Josephine Wyss – and the author Miriam Veya.
Despite a lull in work, Josephine Wyss is less than enthusiastic about the new case. She believes neither in supernatural phenomena nor in the legend of the three martyrs. She considers it all a silly prank by the children of the destitute Meier family, whose eldest daughter, Hanna, claimed to have seen the saints. Josephine Wyss changes her mind, however, when Hanna vanishes without a trace – and she herself encounters the city’s patron saints.
Miriam Veya, winner of the Zurich Crime Fiction Prize for *Shadows over Villa Patumbah*, will be signing copies of her latest book after the reading at the Belcafé.
