Culinary Film Night: ‘One Life’

The biographical drama ‘One Life’ (UK 2023, directed by James Hawes) tells the true story of the British humanitarian Nicholas Winton, who saved hundreds of Jewish children from the Holocaust during the Second World War. The film depicts the young Nicholas Winton (Johnny Flynn) saving hundreds of children from the Nazi occupation in Prague, and the older Winton (Anthony Hopkins) being confronted with his past decades later. ‘One Life’ explores themes such as moral responsibility, moral courage and the personal burden of survivor’s guilt.
