Mongolian throat singing – workshop starting on 14 October 2026

Learn the basics so that you can continue practising on your own in a focused way.

Fascinated by throat singing? Have you already had some initial experience and would now like to practise under guidance?

Mongolian throat singing is the umbrella term for singing techniques that allow two notes to be sung simultaneously. In Mongolia, these techniques are very much alive and form part of the national identity; they are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The technique differs greatly from that taught in Europe for overtone singing.

Focus: learning the basics so that you can continue practising independently and effectively. Breathing, muscle tension, posture. The path to the overtone leads via the fundamental tone.
