Mongolian throat singing for beginners
5 sessions starting on Wednesday, 4 March 2026, 6:00–7:30 p.m., with course instructor Bayanzul Damd
Are you fascinated by overtone singing? Would you like to learn how Buddhist monks sing? Then this course is just right for you! Immerse yourself in this fascinating singing technique with a master from Mongolia, Bayanzul Damdinsuren.
Mongolian throat singing refers to singing techniques that allow two tones to be sung simultaneously. These techniques are very much alive in Mongolia and are part of the national identity; they are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The technique differs greatly from that taught in Europe for overtone singing.
Important: This course is in English.
