"The film explores phenomena of gender dissolution at the end of the millennium in the Bay Area in California. At the centre of the documentary are cyborgs: people who use new technologies to change their bodies and minds, but above all biological women who use the male sex hormone testosterone. We get to know San Francisco's leading gender-mixers: Max Wolf Valerio, reading from his book 'Max, A Man'; Jordy Jones and his internet art; Texas Tomboy and his new video films and Jordy and Stafford's extraordinary club for gender mixers: Club Confidential. Plus Hida Viloria, an intersex woman living in the space between the sexes, and two special biological women who support transgender people: sex goddess Annie Sprinkle and former Hustler model Tornado, Stafford's lover and self-proclaimed 'mother' of Texas Tomboy."
