Trilogie In Praise of Vulnerability: SANE SATAN

For the first time, Teresa Vittucci is presenting her trilogy In Praise of Vulnerability in its entirety. The works HATE ME, TENDER, DOOM and SANE SATAN will all be performed at Tanzhaus Zurich in the same week. A rare opportunity to experience Vittucci's work as a concentrated load (once again).

Satan is taboo. The fallen angel is the epitome of evil. But who decides who or what is evil? In SANE SATAN, the final part of the trilogy In Praise of Vulnerability, Vittucci humorously examines the stories and images that so vehemently warn us against the devil. As with Maria in HATE ME, TENDER and Eve in DOOM, Teresa and her team in SANE SATAN seek a new, queer-feminist interpretation of this enigmatic figure in our cultural history. Seductive, monstrous and trapped in the prevailing structures, Satan has the potential to become an accomplice to all those who are devalued, excluded and oppressed because of their otherness.

HATE ME, TENDER will be shown on 7 April. DOOM will be shown on 9 April.
