Dance tips for November

Resilience, sisterhood, escape and Alzheimer's: these topics will be artistically realised in November, brought to the stage and made tangible for you.

Resilience

How can Palestinians remain resilient despite their desperate situation? The dance piece Last things remaining revolves around this question. Based on the movement language of the Palestinian folklore dance Dabke and contemporary dance, the group immerses itself in a collaborative process. The result is a mutual exchange of ideas in which Middle Eastern and Western perspectives meet, enter into dialogue and merge into a new artistic form.

Intermarriage

Three people meet at work and at the same time in their shared living room. The three talk to themselves, to each other and to the audience. But what do these three people have to do with Chekhov's Three Sisters? In the play Six Sisters, Lea Moro combines the story of Chekhov's characters with the question of a possible community in the sense of sisterhood and negotiates affects and dimensions of human relationships.

A journey into the unknown

Jazz and Latin pop with flamenco - this is the fusion offered by the flamenco dance musical LOLA. The musical is about a young, courageous widow who escapes the economic depression in Spain with two children in the 1960s. The woman seeks her fortune in Germany. Join us on a dance journey full of fears, obstacles, hope and joie de vivre.

Between reality and dream

Pink Carpet is a journey between reality and imagination. Inspired by Nunzio Impellizzeri's own experiences with Alzheimer's disease within his family, a pink carpet acts as a line between the tangible and the unreal. The audience crosses the border between reality and dream and explores the complexity of Alzheimer's disease. The performance actively involves the audience and interweaves their stories with those of the artists.
