Dance tips in June

From kaleidoscopes to the social role of mushrooms - the dance tips in June will be fantastic.

Fascination Kaleidoscope

Lying on the floor, cosily nestled in a landscape of cushions - sounds more like a meditation workshop than a dance piece. But in Mirkids, the audience lies on the floor in a star shape and looks up at the ceiling. A mirror hangs there and shows the performers rotating like colourful images in a kaleidoscope. Symmetrical and always in motion, they fascinate young and old alike.

Choreography included

Dancer Luvyen Mederos Gutiérrez and a diverse group of people present the inclusive concept of the choreo persona. This combines choreography and the individual person, as each person has their own style. The evening begins with a theoretical part, followed by an interactive performance that works according to the concept of the Choreo-Persona. You can actively participate in the performance or just watch. Participation is open to everyone.

The language of friendship

This year, the Kids in Dance are performing a dance piece on the theme of friendship. Sometimes friendships are formed at the first meeting and sometimes they develop very slowly. In the piece Friends in Dance, the young people follow how friendships develop. It can be expressed through closeness or through connecting glances. Experience with the dancers how encounters can develop into friendships.

The role of mushrooms

What do you imagine a community to be that encompasses more than just people? Choreographer Simone Truong and musician Martina Buzzi aka Harmony are looking for just such a connection in the dance performance Fungi Care. The project deals with the topic of care and understands it as an inherent principle of life that goes beyond the human social structure. Be inspired by the fascinating abilities of mushrooms.
