Date yourself - in autumn

Four cultural tips for dating yourself. Selected by a creative accomplice who recommends: date yourself.

Drive down with a cup of tea.

Silence, reduction, aesthetics, hmmmmm. It takes so little: a Japanese tatami mat, a tea master from the Urasenke tea school (Christoph Meier) and, of course, chaji. You can enjoy the ceremony in the Remise of the Museum Rietberg on Wednesdays and Sundays. Especially when it's getting colder outside again, this is a wonderful opportunity to pause for a moment in the wild ride through life.

Give yourself operatic, but different.

It stands in the centre of the city, near Sechseläutenplatz: the Zurich Opera House. During the performances, people sing, dance, suffer and love. And there's also a lot to discover off stage. And of course in November, when the International Short Film Festival in Winterterthur takes place for the 27th time. The programme is always impressive and to round off the enjoyment there are installations, concerts and parties.

Face the fact.

Everything that lives, passes away, is mortal. And because dealing with death can also enrich life, there is the Friedhof Forum in Zurich: a museum and "office for the last journey". You can currently visit the exhibition "You Want it Darker" and immerse yourself in songs about death written by well-known artists from all over the world.
